Adult ProgramsThe Club at Gateway hosts several teams in both USTA and the Lee County Community Tennis Association leagues. These currently include: women's day 3.0, 3.5, 4.0-, and 50+ gold doubles teams; men's 3.0, 3.5, and 4.0 doubles teams; and mixed doubles 6.0-8.0 teams. We hold regular weekly clinics for our adult league teams to help players improve their skills and knowledge of doubles play. Clinic times are determined based on availability of participants and court space. A minimum of 5 players is required.
If you are interested in playing organized team tennis, please contact us and we will help you join one of our teams.
In order to serve children of all abilities, the Gateway Tennis Center offers a 5-level program based on player skill. Our goal is to teach proper fundamentals, physical training, and sportsmanship in a fun and enjoyable atmosphere. Children participate in 8-week sessions; all undergo a skills test at the beginning and end of each session to track their progress. The professionals ensure that each player is placed in the appropriate group.
Advance registration is required in order to guarantee the maximum student-teacher ratios. Please stop by or call the Tennis Shop at (239) 561 - 1422 for information.
Two junior tournaments are held at the Gateway Tennis Center: in December, a Rookie tournament is offered for players just entering tournament competition; and in July, a USTA sanctioned junior tournament is available for more advanced players.
The Gateway Tennis Center is also the training facility for the Gateway Charter High School Boys and Girls Tennis Teams.
