Fort Myers, FL (August 1, 2019) – Gateway Golf & Country Club have begun their Clubhouse renovations. After weeks preparing for the demolition, the dining room was torn down in less than an hour!
The new 300 seat dining facility being built will easily split into three different areas to accommodate large or small events. A new second level fitness center will be built, complete with separate spin and aerobics rooms, as well as, new cardio, weight and TRX training. The new resort style pool will feature a zero entry area, water features, lap lanes and a 16 seat outdoor bar. The new display exhibition kitchen will be equipped with wood burning pizza ovens and grills. Another first class feature will be a 1,600 bottle glass wine cellar in the lobby area and a private wine room for dining and entertaining. A playground has also been added to the plans for children to enjoy. Renovations are expected to be completed in February of 2020. Club amenities, tennis, pickleball, bocce, fitness center and pool including dining in the Grille Room remain open for Member enjoyment during the renovations.
