We have a strong program, ranked highly in the Fort Myers area. Our Gateway Tennis Center offers one of Southwest Florida’s most comprehensive programs for players of all ages and abilities. Directed by USPTA-certified professional Alex Hermeto, our program’s mission is to create an enjoyable and healthy atmosphere for members to enjoy the tremendous benefits of tennis, participate in a wide variety of organized social events and competitive leagues, and maintain an active lifestyle.
With our vast array of services, we can help players of all levels—from the very beginner to the elite tournament athlete—improve their skills and knowledge of the game. Our adult programs focus on the exercise and social aspects of tennis, as well as, techniques and winning strategies. Our junior programs make the sport available for all levels in a friendly format, in which children have the opportunity to learn both the basic skills of tennis and the lifelong benefits of good sportsmanship.
Our Facility and Services
The Gateway Tennis Center is home to 6 lighted clay courts, a pro-shop, and restrooms. Hours of operation for the pro-shop are Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, Saturday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, and Sunday from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. A ball machine is available from the pro-shop. We offer racquet and basic equipment sales, and stringing.
Our web site gives members the ability to schedule court reservations and private lessons online, and provides up-to-date information on all current and upcoming events. We offer clinics, small group, and private instruction to players who have a strong desire to improve their game.
Annual memberships are available to individuals who are not members of the Country Club. For further information, please contact:
