Ladies' Games at Gateway

 

We love the game of golf and welcome you.  If you enjoy the game, join us and become involved with a delightful group of women.

Whether you are an incoming "newbie" learning the game or a more experienced player mentoring the newer golf members, we know you will enjoy being a part of our Gateway Ladies.  Join our Lee County Interclub or our Lee Island Interclub, or if you don't want to get that involved, come out to our Ladies' Skins group on Wednesdays and our Thursday Ladies' Association group with over 100 players.  We also have a Canadian Connection on Fridays.

Wednesday- Ladies' Skins
Open to all our lady golf members. A member will arrange the pairings for the group. Tee times will be at 10:00.

Thursday- Ladies’ Day
Our opening luncheon kicks off the season in October and we end with a fun, closing luncheon and awards banquet in April.  Ladies' Day is open to all of our lady golf members. Pairings are arranged by the chairwomen for that week. The game changes every week as planned by the Gateway Golf & Country Club Ladies’ Association, and posted in a booklet. These games are a great way for ladies to meet and play with each other. A shotgun is scheduled every Thursday at 9:00 a.m. For the 2009-2010 season, we will be introducing a 9-Hole league that will go out in a shotgun around 11:00 a.m. This enables us to enjoy a lively and delicious luncheon after 18 holes of golf.

Friday- Canadian Connection
The Ladies’ Canadian Connection is a tradition started several years ago among a group of members from Canada. Over the years the group has grown. The game changes every week. A member organizes the teams from week to week. Tee times rotate every week between 8:04  and 9:30.

Sunday - Couples
Throughout the season (usually every other Sunday) the club will host an afternoon Couples' event.  Including some major events: Couples' Member-Guest, Kings & Queens, and Divorce Court.  Shotgun at 1:00.
